Getting back to design basics

We believe in creating as little waste as possible. That's why we avoid months-long research and strategy phases. Our time and your money is best spent on creating real tangible design work. Not strategy documents. Not presentation after presentation after presentation.

Our team has experience from some of the best agencies in Norway, and have worked with some really amazing clients along the way. What we’ve come to realize is that a lot of design agencies are stuck in a waterfall process that really hurts efficiency. They spend the first half of the project talking, making pitch decks and worrying about long term strategy well beyond the scope of the project. The research is handed off to a designer who doesn’t read it. The designs are handed off the a developer that hasn’t really had a chance to truly understand the project.

To solve a problem, we need to understand it. We need to know what you do today, who your customers are, and what's great (and not so great) about the current solution. We need to understand what a successful outcome is for you and your customers. We need to talk! Then we start creating.

Our biggest fear is delivering the wrong product to your customers and to you. For that reason, our design process is 100% open. If you want, you can look at our designers sketching live. See all our ideas, not just the ones we think are good. You can join in when we talk to your users.

A typical design process starts with us talking to you and your customers to get a good understanding of what we’re trying to achieve. Then we sketch and sketch until we have something that both you and we believe in. We test our designs to make sure the users agree.

Code is the language of interactive design

Sketching is an essential part of the design process, but digital products and services always end up as code. That's why we try to start iterating on the design in code as early as possible. In our experience, this is the best way to ensure that the end product is as good as the sketches promise.

Strong domain knowledge

Our team is made up of some of the best designers and developers with backgrounds in working with the financial sector. It takes a long time to onboard someone into understanding the technological and regulatory constraints that govern innovation in the financial industry. We're all dreamers that love to challenge the status quo, but at the same time, we know what's easy and what's hard. We know KYC, PSD2, and MiFID II.
